At THU, we want the way we conduct our business to be characterised by giving due importance to the impact that all our activities have on society. For this reason, we are not only committed to complying with national and international legislation in the social, labour, environmental and Human Rights spheres, but we are also carrying out numerous voluntary actions to improve the quality of life of our employees, the communities in which we operate and society as a whole. Aware of the importance and responsibility that the company has to contribute to respect for human dignity, it joins in the work of promoting, protecting and ensuring the human rights of the people with whom we are connected, both in Spain and in the countries in which we work through the company’s activities.
We are currently continuing to work towards becoming an example of a sustainable company that is responsible towards its environment and its stakeholders. At the start of this process, we carried out an assessment to identify the areas on which we should focus new actions and those that needed to be strengthened in the pursuit of sustainability.
The result of this entire analysis is our Code of Ethics, which is summarised in 10 principles based on the United Nations Global Compact and the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The purpose of this Code of Ethics is to guide and direct the day-to-day conduct of each of the people who make up THU, so that in every country where we are present we continue to act under the same principles, rules and values. THU undertakes to implement or develop policies and actions to guarantee its full application for both current and future generations.
All THU personnel must comply with the rules set out in this document in their business relationships with customers, public and private authorities, partners, competitors, subcontractors and suppliers of goods or services, the communities in which we are present in one way or another, and any other group with which we interact:
