At the Kingspan Group, our commitment to the local communities that surround our manufacturing sites has always been of vital importance to us. Until now we have been able to support our local communities through individual projects, sponsorships and events at each of our manufacturing sites.
Throughout the development of this fund it has become clear to us that people and communities are at the heart of the Planet Passionate initiative, because they are the reason we strive to leave the planet in better condition than we found it.
With this idea the Planet Passionate Community Fund was created, dedicated to supporting the initiatives and projects that make a difference for our planet and for the people who live in our communities, in line with our Planet Passionate targets.
Planet Passionate funding award criteria
Because the Planet Passionate Community Fund aims to improve and invest in the local communities that surround the places where we work, we have drawn up guidelines and criteria by which applicants can obtain funding.
Anyone can apply to the Planet Passionate Community Fund. However, the applicant projects selected must meet one of the following criteria:
- Supporting the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment.
- Improving the health and physical fitness of our local communities through leisure.
- Promoting a safe and sustainable built environment.
- Supporting the education and skills of young people.
- Supporting local charities and local charity events intended to generate income from activities related to the criteria above.
If you take part in, or know of, a project that meets one of the criteria above, apply for the community fund by completing the following form and sending it by email to KIPCommunityFund@kingspan.com
